Taking the first step into therapy can feel daunting, which is why I offer a free 15-minute phone call. This gives us the chance to talk through what’s been going on, answer any questions you may have, and decide whether we feel like the right fit to work together. It's a relaxed, no-pressure conversation to help you take that next step with confidence.
No two people are the same, and therapy shouldn’t be either. I take a holistic approach that keeps your goals and needs at the heart of our work. We’ll take time to explore what’s bringing you to therapy, what you’d like to change, and which approach or combination of approaches will work best for you. Whether you’re looking for deep emotional healing, practical tools to manage anxiety, or support through a difficult time, I’ll tailor your sessions to suit you.
Psychotherapy offers a safe, supportive space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and life experiences. It can help you understand patterns in how you think and relate to others, and guide you toward healthier ways of coping and connecting.
Psychotherapy is a space for deeper reflection, self-awareness, and emotional growth.
Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a structured therapy often used to help people process traumatic or distressing memories.
It works by using guided eye movements or tapping while you recall difficult events, helping the brain to reprocess them in a less overwhelming way.
EMDR can be especially helpful for trauma, anxiety, or experiences that feel ‘stuck’ in the mind or body.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) focuses on the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.
It helps you identify unhelpful thinking patterns and develop more balanced, practical ways of approaching challenges.
CBT is a structured, goal-oriented therapy that can be highly effective for anxiety, low mood, and self-esteem issues.
There’s no shame in struggling. Therapy is where things can start to shift.
Therapy for children and young people looks a little different. It’s important that the sessions are age-appropriate, engaging, and suited to how they naturally express themselves. Depending on the child, we might use art, storytelling, games, or even short videos to help them explore their feelings and experiences.
Young people may be struggling with school stress, anxiety, low mood, friendship issues, confidence, or identity. Some may find it hard to talk openly at first, so I take a gentle, creative approach to help them feel at ease.
Parents are sometimes invited to be present at the beginning or end of sessions, particularly for younger children, to hear what we’ve covered and understand what they might need support with during the week. Parental insight is also important, as it helps identify patterns or triggers that could be contributing to the child’s difficulties.
Therapy often involves small tasks or reflection outside the sessions, helping children and teens to apply what they've learned in everyday life. With the right support, young people can build emotional resilience and healthier ways of managing big feelings.
