Psychotherapy, EMDR, & CBT in Bucks & Online

Change The Way You Feel By Changing The Way You Think

Welcome to MySpace Therapy

Perhaps you're struggling with low motivation, poor sleep, difficulty concentrating, or feeling like you’re constantly on edge. You may be eating too much or too little, feeling unheard in your relationships, or questioning your sense of identity.

At MySpace Therapy, I offer a calm, supportive space where we can explore what's going on beneath the surface and work together to build emotional strength, clarity, and self-compassion.

I'm Aisha Banfield, a fully accredited psychotherapist with the BABCP. I specialise in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), offering both in-person and online therapy to adults, children, and young people across the South East. With over 11 years’ experience in the NHS, social services, and private practice, I provide a compassionate and tailored approach to mental health support.

Whether you’re struggling with depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma, low self-esteem, stress, or identity-related challenges, I work with you to create a therapeutic plan that fits your goals and helps you feel more grounded and in control. I also support neurodivergent clients, including those with autism and ADHD.

Support for Adults

Whether you’re feeling anxious, burnt out, low in confidence, or just not like yourself lately, therapy can help you untangle what’s going on and move forward with more clarity and strength.

Support for Children & Young People

If your child is struggling with emotions, friendships, school stress, or identity, therapy can give them the space and tools to make sense of it all in a way that feels safe, creative, and age-appropriate.

How Psychotherapy Can Help You

Psychotherapy offers a safe, supportive space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without fear of judgment. It’s more than just talking, it's a collaborative process that helps you make sense of what’s going on inside, uncover patterns that may be holding you back, and build healthier ways of coping.

Whether you're feeling anxious, low, overwhelmed, or stuck, therapy can provide clarity, relief, and a sense of direction. It can help you strengthen your sense of self, navigate challenges with more confidence, and create lasting change in how you relate to yourself and others.

Everyone’s journey is unique, and psychotherapy can meet you where you are, whether you're dealing with trauma, navigating a life transition, or simply seeking more balance in your day-to-day life. You're not expected to have all the answers. Therapy is here to help you find them, one step at a time.

If You’re Not Feeling Like Yourself, You’re Not Alone

Let's explore what you are struggling with. Therapy is where things can start to shift for you.

  • Anxiety is getting you down – Constant worry, panic, or fear of what others think—it’s exhausting. We’ll work together to ease the pressure and calm your nervous system.
  • You feel low but can’t explain why – Some days are just heavy. Others feel pointless. We’ll explore what’s underneath and help you rediscover what gives life colour again.
  • Past experiences keep surfacing – Trauma doesn’t always look dramatic, but it does linger. EMDR can help you process it safely and start to feel more like you again.
  • You’re stuck in the ‘not good enough’ loop – Whether it’s high expectations or harsh self-talk, we’ll break the cycle and work on building self-compassion.
  • Your child is overwhelmed – School stress, emotional outbursts, or big questions about who they are. Young people carry more than we think. Therapy gives them tools and space to cope.

It all starts with a conversation. Get in touch for a free 15 minute telephone consultation, and we can take it from there.

My Location

I offer therapy sessions in person from my private practice in Calvert, Buckinghamshire—a peaceful setting that’s easy to reach from Aylesbury, Bicester, Winslow, Buckingham, Waddesdon, Brill, Haddenham, Steeple Claydon, and surrounding areas.

Online sessions are also available across the UK. If you're unsure whether you're close enough for in-person therapy or would prefer online support, just get in touch and we can talk through your options.

Health Insurance

Therapy may be covered—let’s make it easy. I’m recognised by a number of major health insurance providers, including: BUPA, AXA, Aviva, WPA, and Allianz.

If your insurer isn’t listed, feel free to reach out; I may still be able to work with them. Feel free to call me to book your first session, and we can discuss the details about your provider.

Ready When You Are

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, but you don’t have to do it alone.

If you’re ready to take the next step or simply want to find out more, I’d love to hear from you. Whether you're enquiring for yourself or your child, feel free to reach out with any questions or to arrange a free 15-minute consultation.
